Description
Sunbond Tile and Metal Roof Membrane
100% Acrylic high quality gloss Roof Membrane coating. This tough flexible finish is an extended durability product designed for the long term protection and decoration of domestic and commercial roofs.
SUNBOND ROOF MEMBRANE incorporates advanced technology adhesion promoted acrylic with UV blocking pigmentation. Formulated to meet Australian conditions giving long life protection with excellent gloss retention, colour fastness, and lasting good looks.
Intended Uses:
As a high gloss protective membrane coating for all types of new, restored, and refurbished roofs including cement tile, terracotta, galvanised iron, zinc-alume, and fibrous cement.

Surface Preparation
- New Roofs
Remove all dust, dirt, oil, grease, and other contaminants. Degrease new galvanised iron. Check and repair pointing of tile roofs -
Weathered Roofs – Not Asbestos or “Fibro” roofs
Water blast clean, scrape or abrade to remove all dust, dirt, chalk, fungus, algae, deposits, and other contamination.
All bare surfaces must be primed with the recommended primer or sealer before application of SUNBOND ROOF MEMBRANE.

- Previously Painted Surfaces
Thoroughly prepare surface – remove all unsound paint. Prime bare surface as above.
Application:
- May be applied directly to correctly prepared previously painted surfaces in sound condition.
- TWO full coats recommended
- Apply using Airless Spray equipment.
- Apply liberally by brush to restricted areas.
- Ensure adequate ventilation during use.
CONTROL OVERSPRAY – DO NOT CONTAMINATE OTHER AREAS OR PROPERTY.
OTHER INFORMATION
Stir well before use. Do not apply at surface temperatures below 10 or above 45 degrees Celsius. Cease application if surface dry time exceeds 60 minutes. Do not apply if rain or moisture condensation is imminent. Finish application by 3pm if overnight dew is expected. Do not coat roofs in windy conditions.

ROOFSHIELD COATINGS ROOF MEMBRANE
LONG LIFE 100% Acrylic – Adhesion promoted Membrane Coating specifically formulated for the protection of Australian Roofs. Available in a popular range of roofing colours.
100% ACRYLIC based on methyl methacrylate with its proven outstanding durability, flexibility, and long established resistance to weathering.
GLOSS FINISH. Similar to new tiles.
WATERPROOFS and seals the tile surface against rain and weather.
U.V RESISTANT High resistance to the degrading effect of Ultra Violet Light and Solar Radiation.
FUNGUS AND MOULD RESISTANT The Mehyl Methacrylate Acylic Polymer with additional specific fungicides and algaecides protect against growth of fungus, alge, and mosses making it very difficult for these disfiguring organisms to get a foot hold.
RESISTS DIRT COLLECTION, ROOFSHIELD COATINGS ROOF MEMBRANE develops early water resistance in the coating. Rain then preferential;ly wets dust particles helping to flush them away.
PERMANENT COLOURS The coating is formulated using only long proven and established permanent colours including iron and other oxides and light fast pigments. The coating finish substantially maintains its colour and is highly resistant to colour fade or colour change.
MANUFACTURED using 100% Acrylic chemicals and raw materials supplied by Rohm and Haas, Orica, Thor Chemicals, Bayer, and other large global chemical industry suppliers accredited under the international standards of quality assurance ISO 9001 and 9002. CONFORMS TO AUSTRALIAN STANDARDS AS 3370.20 and AS 2311 for roof coatings.
APPLICATION TO CEMENT TILES:
ONE COAT ROOFSHIELD COATINGS CEMENT TILE PRIMER / SEALER
The primer has two important functions; it penetrates, seals, and adheres to the tile surface ensuring the long-term adhesion of the whole coating system. A powerful fungicide/algaecide incorporated in the sealer sterilizes the tile surface and very importantly is retained by the sealer to kill off any fungi spores hidden deep within the tile pores.
TWO COATS ROOFSHIELD COATINGS ROOF MEMBRANE – COLOUR COATS Two heavy coats are applied to ensure complete cover and maximum durability.
COVERAGE RATE: 100 Litres of Roofshield Roof Membrane plus 40 litres of Cement Tile Primer/Sealer are normally applied to the average 200 square metre tiled roof.
